General overview of the Master Program

Do you want to become an expert in digital design, simulation, materials?

With the Master Program you acquire skills in:

  • Computational mechanics, numerical methods, computer simulation and design
  • Innovative materials and advanced devices
  • Sustainable production
  • Application problems in modern engineering, e.g., mechanical, biomedical, civil, structural, energy, aeronautical/naval, electronic fields
General organization

The Master Program lasts 2 years, organized as follows:

  • The first year includes preparatory courses on fundamental subjects, such as mechanics, physics, chemistry and mathematics. The path is common to all the curricula
  • The second year includes different possible paths based on different design and laboratory activities, in which it will be possible to use equipment, software and technologies of direct interest to the student himself (or to partner companies)
Possible paths

The second year of the Program allows the student a wide choice of courses, with three main paths:

  • Computational mechanics and numerical modeling
  • Materials and engineering of sustainable technologies
  • Engineering of biological materials and structures

The student can always further detail the study plan with exams of his/her choice depending on specific interests. A very wide choice is possible.

Foreign stay
  • Part of the course can be carried abroad
  • Collaborations are underway with European and non-European universities for theses to be carried out abroad
